Gale Research- Argumentative - Kimmerer: Cellphones

Schools and Phones

Cellphones have become an essential part of daily life, but their place in schools remains a topic of debate. Supporters of cellphones in school argue that they can be valuable tools for research, organization, and communication, helping students access educational resources and stay connected with family. On the other hand, opponents claim that cellphones are a major source of distraction, can encourage academic dishonesty, and may contribute to negative social behaviors. Should high schools allow students to use cellphones during school hours?
